Elbow & Forearm

What is this condition?

Are you experiencing hot pain on the outside of your elbow, unbearable pain when picking things up or when typing?

“Tennis elbow”, doesn’t just affect tennis players, and it isn’t just felt in the joint. Tennis elbow or golfers elbow is typically caused by overuse of muscles and tendons of the forearm.

The causes of shoulder and forearm pain can vary from overuse (repetitive strain, e.g. typing, smartphone, poor ergonomics), but can be traumatic (impact, e.g. a golf swing or rugby tackle).

At Acuhealth we take the time to exclude other causes for your pain such as referred pain from the neck. If the pain doesn’t settle quickly with rest, you are making a wise decision to seek our help.
