Female Fertility

What is this condition?

If you’ve decided that you want to start a family, there are many ways to boost your natural fertility, and the earlier you start, the better. For many causes of female infertility, there may be no symptoms.

Painful and irregular periods may indicate female infertility, but many women have no symptoms until they try to conceive.  Only one-third of infertility cases are caused by female factors, a third are male and the remainder a combination of factors, or the reason is unexplained.

How is it treated?

Couples who come to Acuhealth want to get pregnant and to feel that they are doing everything they can to make that happen.

Acuhealth takes an integrative approach to therapies and treatments: understanding and enhancing the medical processes, examining diet and lifestyle impacts, bringing a personalised fertility plan, which focuses on “support and inspiration.”

Information is king; we start by getting to know you, a conversation is driven by your responses to our unique questionnaire.  For example:

Your medical history, what you have and haven’t had done: these might include hormonal blood tests and fertility potential test

An appraisal of your lifestyle and nutrition, work-life balance and your knowledge and awareness of your fertility

Aspects impacting on your emotional and psychological well-being: for example stress levels and how you are managing them

These elements become the building blocks of your step-by-step plan of action, including acupuncture, nutrition, supplements, and often advice on further medical tests.
